A project to dispel the unhealthy myths around menstruation, this project included education for girls. In addition, a collaboration with Sewpportive Friends helped the women to make reusable menstrual pads to be sold in the Women’s Center.
The girls involved in the project have gained confidence in the process of identifying a need, the need for menstrual education and products, and from working together to write and execute the proposal for PaxWorks, that they subsequently approached the administration of their school to start a student council, which they’ve done successfully.
