Organized by the Romanian Society for Analytical Psychology (SRAJ) and the Serbian Analytical Society (SAS), the program is designed for Jungian IAAP routers— trainees within the International Association for Analytical Psychology training framework.
The program explores Serbian and Romanian myths, fairy tales, and films as expressions of the collective unconscious, combining lectures, thematic workshops, intervision groups, and supervised clinical sessions led by six experienced analysts. Experiential learning is further enriched through guided visits to Lepenski Vir, National Museum in Kladovo, and Fetislam Fortress, linking cultural heritage with Jungian concepts such as archetypes and collective memory.
By integrating academic, clinical, and experiential components, the Iron Gate Project addresses the need for cross-cultural and practice-oriented training in Southeast Europe. The program strengthens regional collaboration, enhances cultural competence and sensitivity in psychotherapy, and supports the development of sustainable professional networks among emerging Jungian practitioners.
